How to Last Longer: 8 Tips to Max Out Your Phone Battery!
We’ve all been there before; we’ve all witnessed firsthand the horror of not having enough battery when you needed it most. It could be because you forgot to charge it the night before, and it could also be due to the declining state of the battery. But don’t worry! Today, we’ll be sharing a few tricks that you can use to help prolong your phone battery’s lifespan.
1. DO NOT CHARGE YOUR BATTERY BEYOND 100%.
This can actually shorten the battery’s lifespan as it experiences higher stress from all that heat and voltage. A few extra things to take note of is to ensure that your phone is in a cool or well-ventilated area so any excess heat can escape. AVOID putting it under your pillow.
2. KEEP THAT BRIGHTNESS DOWN!
If you don’t already know, your screen brightness is actually one of the major battery drains on your phone. So the next time your mom asks, show her our article!
3. DO NOT LISTEN TO MUSIC OR PLAY GAMES WHILE CHARGING YOUR PHONE.

5. TURN OFF VIBRATING MODE
We were a little shocked too at first, but after scouring through the internet, it was found that this function actually uses more battery compared to standard ringtones! It might be helpful in situations where you don’t want to be bothered, but a good alternative is to set ringtones at a fairly low volume. (But if you lose your phone a lot like some of us do, maybe don’t use the silent feature. If you know, you know)!
6. KILL ANY APPS RUNNING IN THE BACKGROUND
You would be surprised to know that they are STILL running even after you’ve closed them. For example: your maps. You don’t need it because, where are you heading off to when you're in the office? Just go to your "Setings" tab in your smartphone to look for the feature to kill of apps running in the background.
7. TURN OFF THAT BLUETOOTH
Apart from your screen brightness, the Bluetooth feature is a main culprit of your battery draining like crazy. This is because it is constantly scanning for devices to connect to! So if you’re at home and you don’t need to do much file exchanging or connecting to any other devices, turn it off.
8. DO IT YOURSELF INSTEAD
And by that, I mean your Google Assistant or Siri. You may have gotten used to their being around, but they actually drain more of your phone battery! This is especially true when they’re constantly waiting for your voice commands. So if you need to find out something, use those fingers and go manual!
